Message from the Principal
Mrs. Donnette Daniels |
St. Stanislaus College has a remarkable history, as we move forward; this institution envisages a greater future with the active involvement of all stakeholders associated with the college.
The administrative staff and teachers mould the students and equip them with knowledge, positive values, and the pre-requisite for making wise choices that will benefit them now and in the future.
We continually strive through the school’s programme to develop students’ talents and promote the development of sound decision-making qualities. This is done in an atmosphere of discipline, to nurture individuals into making a meaningful contribution to society.
The mission statement of St. Stanislaus College is to provide students with knowledge, skills, attitude and values to function effectively in the rapidly changing scientific and technological world, while contributing to their own and society’s development through high scholastic achievement.
In order for us to achieve our mission statement, we expose the students to curricula, co- and extra-curricula activities to foster the development of rounded students.
The students are prepared by the teachers to write external examinations such as Caribbean Secondary Examination (CSEC) and Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examination (CAPE). The results at these examinations are very good; however we continue to work towards excellence.
School rules are in place to aid in the smooth functioning of the school. Rules must be adhered to and are enforced by those in authority, such as teachers and prefects working together to create a conducive learning environment.
The school is forever thankful for the role the Alumni, Association, PTA and the school Board play in providing much needed resources to help maintain, sustain and improve the learning process for the students of St. Stanislaus College.
The challenges we face are many; but with the Ministry of Education, and the other stakeholders all working together for a common goal, we can overcome the hurdles and propel the school forwards, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those in our charge.
